Burgeo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Burgeo - Parently app, Burgeo Kids app, and related services (the "Services").
Privacy-First Architecture: Child activity data is encrypted and stored locally on the parent's device whenever possible. Our cloud stores only authentication credentials, subscription metadata, encrypted sync payloads, and device pairing metadata.
Security Measures: Passwords hashed with bcrypt, HTTPS transmission, JWT authentication, role-based access controls.
Parents have full control over family data. Use the Family Vault in the app to export, backup, restore, transfer, or delete data at any time.
Burgeo complies with COPPA. Parents provide consent by creating child profiles. Children cannot create accounts independently. Child data is only accessible to the parent account that created it.
We do NOT sell personal information, share data with advertisers, or allow third parties to access child usage data. We may share with service providers under confidentiality or when required by law.
Usage data retained for 12 months by default. Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days.
If in the EEA, you have rights to access, correct, delete, export, and object to processing of your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

Burgeo is a digital parenting platform that helps parents monitor screen time, set device usage rules, and promote healthy digital habits for children.
Parents are solely responsible for how they use monitoring features. Parents must be the legal guardian of children they monitor.
Parents must maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials and are responsible for all activity under their account.
You agree not to misuse the Services, attempt to bypass security, reverse engineer, or use for illegal purposes.
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or prevention of all digital risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Burgeo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
You may terminate by deleting your account. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction.
